Variator T-Max 500 J.Costa Racing

Yamaha TMax 500 scooter speed control J.Costa Racing XRP IT605XRP complete with high quality specific belt. The variator, patented and produced exclusively by J.Costa Competition (made in Spain), unlike normal variator, do not have the usual rollers that run on tracks by varying the diameter of the pulley and thus the transmission ratio but a series of radial cylinders that make move the pulley to the rise in the number of revolutions. JCosta variators of the XRP series are dedicated to those who want to install or have already installed an aftermarket exhaust in order to obtain an important increase in performance. The XRP variator guarantees average increments of 5 horses for the maxi scooters 400 / 500cc and of about 2 horses for the 125/250 classes. This does not penalize consumption, rather it optimizes them, also improving the driveability of the scooter. The materials used guarantee the J.Costa variator a much longer life of the original variator, destined and reduce the power with the passage of time. The variator is made of special aluminum with ceramic treatment, machined from solid with CNC machines, guaranteed for long distances. The bell is made of stainless steel AISI 304 with a central inlaid bronze bush, with the graphite used as an anti-friction and dry lubricant, the screeds are made of a special high-strength plastic material.This innovative feature allows to have several advantages over traditional variator including:

- Greater acceleration (as it is able to have a transmission ratio of the shortest to a number of engine revolutions lowest)

- Increase of the power to the wheel to any number of rpm (due to reduced friction losses and to his gaming specific transmission)

- Higher top speed (as is able to have a longer transmission ratio to a maximum engine speed)

- Better power and torque at low rpm (the guide will be more fluid and linear to any number of turns and speed especially at low and mid-range)

- Faster response and without jerking (especially during closing and reopening accelerator)

- Less vibration during operation (due to lower moving mechanical parts)

- Reduce fuel consumption

- Long duration (due to high quality materials made it)
